Based in Singapore, Infinity Exchange is a lending platform built on Ethereum that offers a hybrid interest rate protocol for institutional investors. The platform incorporates mechanics from traditional financial markets and provides market-driven floating interest rates used for both lending and borrowing.
Along with fixed interest rates, the platform offers a full yield curve that enables liquidity to flow evenly across all maturities. For risk management, the platform runs market-derived risk measures and protocol-based analytics such as “value-at-risk,” which is used to measure the risk of loss. Along with a number of major cryptocurrencies, Infinity Exchange notably enables users to deposit “complex tokens” such as Aave’s aTokens or Compound’s cTokens and borrow against them.
The company launched its testnet in September 2022 and planned to offer a smart-contract-enabled risk-management-as-a-service feature.
Funding and financials
In September 2022, Infinity Exchange raised USD 4.2 million in seed funding led by GSR, SIG, CMS, C-Squared, and Flow Traders. The funds were earmarked to grow its employee base and develop its product offering, including fixed and floating rate markets as well as futures and spot trading markets.
