Ox Security

Ox Security is an Israel-based supply chain security startup that provides a security platform that incorporates a new standard–pipeline bill of materials (PBOMs)–that covers the entire development phase of the final software. This provides developer and security teams with complete visibility and control over the attack surface, including source code, pipeline, artifacts, container images, runtime assets, and applications, automatically blocking any vulnerabilities in the pipeline.

The platform continuously monitors security changes in an organization’s infrastructure to ensure that the software supply chain is in its original secure state and also provides remediation strategies through a list of prioritized risks and recommendations by considering the business context and objectives. The company reduces the threat exposure during the building stages to minimize the company’s attack surface without impeding developer agility.

Ox Security covers use cases including CI/CD security posture, CI/CD workflow automation, production integrity, security tools marketplace, application security orchestration and correlation (ASOC), asset and risk visibility, maturity assessment and compliance, and shift left security. The company offers its platform under a freemium model for USD 25 per month for over 20 developers and also includes a free basic plan for less than 20 developers.

Ox Security operates in Israel and the US.

Funding and financials

In September 2022, the company raised USD 34 million in a seed funding round co-led by Evolution Equity Partners, Team8, and M12 (Microsoft). The company expected to utilize the funds to double its 30-employee headcount by the end of 2023.
