Fili Pari

Fili Pari is an Italian company that recycles mineral waste into textile dyes and coatings. The company has launched two products, MINERALDYE and MARM\MORE which it supplies to businesses and also uses to make garments that are directly retailed to consumers. The company also recycles fabrics recovered from overproduction or dead-stock of Italian fashion companies to produce the garments it sells.

MINERALDYE is a yarn dyed from natural pigments derived from byproducts of the stone industry. MARM\MORE is a fabric with waterproof, windproof, and abrasion-resistant properties because of a coating made from waste marble. Fili Pari pulverizes the marble finely and adds it to a recipe that is part-liquid, which is dried into a thin microfilm and matched with a fabric. MARM\MORE can be applied to any fabric and can be used for automotive and furniture upholstery applications, as well as in garments.

The company claims that MINERALDYE production uses one to 20 liters of water compared to traditional dyeing, which requires almost 150 liters, and that the marble powder used in MARM\MORE substitutes up to 50% of the synthetic elements that would have been needed to give the coating its color.

Key customers and Partnerships

Italian textile company Limonta partnered with Fili Pari as a product development partner for MARM\MORE. Limonta also paved the way for MARM\MORE to be used in the 2021 collection of Bentley Home, the lifestyle arm of luxury automaker Bentley Motors. Italian automaker Lancia also used MARM\MORE in the upholstery of its “Pu+Ra HPE” concept car in April 2023.

Funding and Financials

In January 2020, the company raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round led by Polihub.
