Cofertility

Cofertility provides affordable and accessible egg donation and egg freezing services for the consumer market via two platforms. The company’s “Freeze by Co” platform provides free egg-freezing services for up to 10 years for those who choose to donate half of their eggs through the Split program, given that they meet the eligibility requirements for egg donors aligning with the guidelines of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. It also enables members to access its community and educational materials along with support from its team. Freeze by Co also provides the Keep program, which allows women to freeze and store their eggs for future use. The Family by Co platform provides egg donation matching for families who prefer to conceive.

As of October 2022, Cofertility had more than 50 egg donors listed on its platform, with more than 1,000 on the waiting list.

The company charges intended parents a USD 7,000 coordination fee, which includes donation matching and medical costs associated with screening and egg retrieval depending on the clinic.

Key customers and partnerships

In July 2023, Cofertility announced it had entered into a preferred partnership with TMRW Life Sciences, an egg and embryo storage company, to offer its members improved rates on egg storage at TMRW’s BioRepository.

Funding and financials

In October 2022, the company raised USD 5 million in a seed funding round, co-led by Initialized Capital and Offline Ventures. This announcement also marked the company’s official launch. The funds were utilized to expand its platform and increase the number of donors and intended parents using its platform.
