Modal Labs, a cloud-based AI model deployment platform, has secured $16 million in a Series A funding round led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Amplify Partners, Lux Capital, and Definition Capital. This brings the company's total funding to $23 million. The funding will primarily be used to hire new employees, with plans to expand the team from 14 to 17 by the end of the year, as well as for product development.
