Unlike traditional resin-based 3D printing (which reportedly makes weak parts), Carbon&rsquo;s printed parts are baked in an oven, exposing the parts to a second heat-activated programmable procedure for improved strength.&nbsp;

 Quantica, a company specializing in multi-material additive manufacturing solutions, has successfully raised EUR 5.7 million (USD 6.2 million) in a Series A extension. This fundraising round was led by West Hill Capital, and saw participation from a family-owned dental company, Quantica Management, and Big Bang Angels.
 With this extension, combined with the original Series A round from last April, Quantica's total funding now stands at EUR 19.7 million (USD 21.5 million).
