Behalf

Behalf is a B2B BNPL platform that offers solutions for e-commerce transactions as well as invoice financing to SMEs. Merchants are charged a 2% commission on B2B transactions and late fees amount to 1.5% of the outstanding balance per month. The monthly fee for invoice financing ranges from 0% to 3% of the transaction value, based on purchasing limits and repayment terms. The platform also offers payout factoring for Amazon sellers, allowing them to access their payouts daily for a commission on net sales. Behalf claims its solutions allow B2B customers to increase average order values by 50%–80%. As of September 2021, Behalf had over 19,000 merchant partners and 95,000 business customers, and had facilitated over USD 1 billion in financing. Behalf’s partners include Visa (August 2018), Newegg (November 2020), and Lenovo (September 2021).

In July 2021, Behalf raised USD 19 million in a funding round led by existing investors MissionOG, Viola Growth, and Vintage Investment Partners, with new investors Migdal Insurance and La Maison Partners also participating. Behalf also raised USD 100 million in debt funding from Ares Management Corporation. The fresh funds are expected to be funneled into product development and expansion of its merchant partner network.
