Vida Health is a digital therapeutic startup that provides personalized health programs and chronic care management solutions to prevent, manage, and reverse hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. It also helps members manage mental health conditions such as anxiety, stress, and depression, which accompany chronic conditions.
The Vida platform has more than 30 health trackers and integrates with more than 100 third-party apps and devices. The company operates in the B2B enterprise market (employers and health plans), offering members video sessions with health coaches or therapists, text-based support, and educational content via Vida’s app. Further, Vida operates a "100% fees at risk" model, whereby service fees are entirely contingent upon achieving specific health outcomes. It uses health claims as well as biometric and health risk assessment data to identify members in an organization that can benefit from its program.
Key customers and partnerships
At a program cost of USD 79 per month, it is available to two million covered lives via Vida’s partnerships with health plans across all 50 states. The company’s key corporate clients include Boeing, Visa, Cisco, eBay, Humana, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
In May 2024, the company partnered with Hawaii-based Outrigger Resorts & Hotels to provide personalized diabetes management solutions as part of Outrigger's employee benefits program.
Funding and financials
In November 2023, the company raised USD 28.5 million in a funding round led by General Atlantic, Ally Bridge, Canvas Ventures, and Hercules Capital. The new funds were used to scale up the company’s operations and pursue growth prospects, especially in the GLP-1 industry.
Vida reported revenue growth of 3x from the beginning of 2020 to May 2021 and has also expanded its network of therapists, coaches, and dietitians by more than 5x.
