FibreTrace is a technology company that offers traceability solutions for the fashion and textile industry. The company's patented technology embeds a luminescent pigment into raw fibers, allowing brands to track their products from the fiber source through the entire supply chain. FibreTrace's core product, FibreTrace Verified, combines this physical tracer with a digital platform and blockchain technology to provide a secure and auditable chain of custody.

FibreTrace's technology works across various natural and man-made fibers, including cotton, recycled polyester, viscose, wool, and leather. The luminescent pigment is indestructible throughout the processing cycle and can be detected using proprietary handheld scanners at every stage of production. This data is then recorded on a blockchain-powered software platform, providing brands with complete visibility and transparency into their supply chain.

In addition to FibreTrace Verified, the company offers FibreTrace Mapped, a free digital traceability solution launched in January 2023. This platform allows brands to map their global textile supply chain from fiber to retail, upload relevant documentation, and integrate existing certifications and compliance credentials.

FibreTrace's solutions enable brands to verify the authenticity and provenance of their products, quantify the percentage of specific fibers used, and access primary impact data, such as carbon emissions and water usage.

Key customers and partnerships

As of June 2024, FibreTrace's technology was used by over 1,000 manufacturers and brands, including Higg, TYL Tekstil, Impetus Group, Escorial, 7 For All Mankind, and Nobody Denim.

FibreTrace has established partnerships with various industry players to enhance traceability and sustainability in the textile supply chain. One notable collaboration is with Circular Systems, a textile innovation company, to implement FibreTrace's technology into Texloop RCOT recycled cotton globally. This partnership aimed to bring much-needed traceability and transparency to the recycled cotton sector. FibreTrace has also partnered with SGS, a leading inspection and certification firm, to develop a "fiber integrity protocol" that combines physical product tagging, chain of custody assessments, and testing. This joint effort supports verified, compliant supply chains in major fashion production hubs worldwide.
