GrandPad produces touch screen tablets for senior citizens above the age of 75. The company introduced the latest version of its device at the online CES 2021 tech trade show.
The LTE-enabled device gives users access to music, radio stations, brain games, and transportation bookings via Lyft. GrandPad also provides live tech support and helps elders communicate with family and formal caregivers, and book telehealth appointments with healthcare professionals. Clinical practices also use the device to help guarantee standards of care. The device is ready to use out of the box and can be preloaded with emergency contacts.
GrandPad devices sell for USD 80 per month with revenue split with B2B enterprise users in the healthcare space. As of March 2022, over 1.3 million seniors across 120 countries have used the device.
In March 2022, the company announced that its tablet is available for direct purchase in the US through its own online platform and through Amazon’s online shopping platform. In the UK and Ireland, it’s available through TechSilver’s online platform. The product is available on Amazon for USD 599, which includes three months of GrandPad Premium Service Plan with 4G LTE data connectivity, access to all games, apps, music streaming, video and voice calling, and GrandPad’s 24/7/365 personalized customer care team. Users can continue with the plan after the initial three-month period by paying USD 59 per month.
