This jacket is made from polyester derived from biologically recycled plastic waste. The partnership highlights Protein Evolution's "Biopure" technology, which employs AI-designed enzymes to break down rigid packaging waste and industrial textile strappings to create new polyester material. The fabric is recyclable indefinitely, and the project has also repurposed unused polyester fabrics from Stella McCartney's previous collections.
