Xscape Photonics develops photonic platform solutions for ultra-high-bandwidth connections inside data centers to power AI systems. Xscape's multi-wavelength photonics technology can handle hundreds of colors on a single fiber, providing flexibility and efficiency for AI workloads. The ChromX platform reportedly maximizes "escape bandwidth" out of GPUs by 10x and reduces power consumption by 10x compared to incumbent solutions.
Xscape's technology provides hyperscale customers with a scalable data center fabric solution that meets volume, cost, and density requirements. The company's first product is a programmable laser to power data center fiber-optic interconnects, specifically the links among GPUs, AI chips, and memory hardware.
Key customers and partnerships
In April 2024, Xscape Photonics joined the CW-WDM MSA (continuous-wave wavelength division multiplexing multi-source agreement), a group focused on standardizing WDM CW light sources in the O-band to support advanced applications like silicon photonics, optical computing, and AI.
