EVEN is a platform that offers a range of resources and tools to help artists share their music with fans while giving them more control over their creative output. In particular, EVEN uses blockchain to create NFT-enabled music albums. Artists on EVEN are allowed to set the price, quantity, and level of access for their content. Additionally, artists are paid instantly after each sale and they can export their data with a single click, ensuring that they maintain ownership of their work and can track their progress over time.
EVEN also allows artists to establish a direct relationship with their fans by providing them with exclusive access to their music, content, tour tickets, merchandise, and other perks. By purchasing a release on EVEN, fans can enjoy early access to the artist's offerings while supporting them financially.
EVEN deducts a fee from purchases on its platform. Though this fee is undisclosed, the company states that artists receive 80% of the payment from their fans in contrast to the average payment of a third of a penny per stream on streaming platforms.
Key customers and partnerships
EVEN has collaborated with thirdweb to offer utility-enabled digital albums as NFTs on its platform. This initiative was soft-launched with LaRussell, an up-and-coming artist, in October 2022. The soft launch resulted in over 4,000 NFT albums sold and more than 12,000 users joining EVEN.
Funding and financials
In April 2023, EVEN secured USD 2.2 million in a seed financing round led by CSA Partners with participation from gANGELS, gener8tor, and other angel investors. The funding was used for hiring personnel and expanding the platform.
