LumApps

LumApps is a social intranet platform that provides a digital workplace to streamline internal communication amongst employees. Its platform provides employees with a centralized space to access an organization's content, enterprise applications, and communication across departments and projects. The platform is fully integrated with enterprise software tools such as G Suite and Microsoft 365. In November 2023, the company launched Companion, a GenAI-powered digital assistant to streamline access to an enterprises knowledge base, a personalized employee dashboard.

Notable M&A activities include the company’s acquisition of Vizir (December 2022), a French no-code digital assistant technology company, for an undisclosed amount. Through the acquisition, LumApps planned to expand its platform's functionality and allow its clients to include intelligent bot software into their employee experience platforms. The company previously acquired HeyAxel (February 2022), a French no-code HR automation and onboarding solutions provider, for an undisclosed amount. As per the deal, HeyAxel’s products and its team were fully integrated into LumApps. The combined team continued to work on improving LumApps’ employee journey features, to provide each employee with a personalized experience.

In May 2024, Bridgepoint acquired majority stake in LumApps for USD 650 million to expand AI solutions and pursue more M&A activities

Key customers and partnerships

Notable enterprises using the platform include Airbus, Logitech and Electronic Arts, among others, having over 4 million users on its platform as of April 2024.

Funding and financials

The company’s latest funding round took place in January 2020, raising USD 70 million in a Series C round led by Goldman Sachs. Funds were earmarked to increase its headcount significantly across its engineering, product, and sales teams. In terms of geographical expansion, the company looked to move into Canada and APAC.
