 <p>Fluence, a company specializing in energy storage and optimization software, has teamed up with Statkraft to provide a 58 MWh battery-based energy storage system for the largest hybrid solar and storage project in Zerbst, Germany. The project entails a 47-megawatt solar park integrated with a 16-megawatt battery storage system and aims to cut around 32,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year. This venture marks the sixth partnership between Fluence and Statkraft in Europe and envisages the energy storage system to store solar energy during low-demand periods and dispense it to the grid during peak-demand times.</p>
