apree health is a healthcare technology company that combines a digital engagement platform with an advanced primary care model. It was formed through a merger of Castlight Health, a digital health navigation platform, and Vera Whole Health, an advanced primary care provider, in 2022. The company’s solutions are built on its data and technology foundation to enable advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and personalized recommendations.

The company operates advanced primary care clinics under its Vera Whole Health brand. Key features of the clinics include multidisciplinary care teams consisting of primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, health coaches, and care managers; same and next-day appointments; in-person and virtual options; and health alerts and recommendations.

Additionally, apree health offers apree navigation, a clinically-driven digital navigation application that guides patients to the most appropriate level and venue of health care, and apree advocacy, a centralized clinical service that includes RN triage, condition management, whole health coaching, and behavioral health.

Key customers and partnerships

apree health has several key partners including Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (November 2023), Cement Masons and Plasterers Health and Welfare Trust (September 2023), and Teamsters Health & Welfare Fund of Philadelphia and Vicinity (April 2024) to provide primary care for their respective member bases. 

In June 2023, apree health announced a partnership with Carrum Health to integrate Carrum Health's surgical and cancer care solutions into apree health's ecosystem partner network.

Further, in August 2024, the company partnered with Elevance Health and CD&R to launch Mosaic Health, aiming to leverage digital capabilities for patient engagement and care coordination while enhancing community-based care across multiple states and coverage types.
