Restreams’ initial target market were gaming content creators who needed a platform to reach wider audiences, but since then, it has expanded to other segments such as music and media. The platform provides flexibility in applying personal branding to streams and engaging with viewers in real time.
As of September 2020, the platform reports around 2 million content creators streaming around 7.5 million broadcasts per month. The company raised its most recent funding in August 2020, a Series A funding round of USD 50 million co-led by Sapphire Ventures and Insight Partners. The funds will be used to expand its platform development, feature enhancements and to boost hiring.
