Telemedico

Telemedico is a Polish telehealth service provider offering consultations in 10 languages (through chat, video and telephone), online bookings for in-person visits, AI-triage and care coordination, medical record storage, and symptom checker tools to enterprise clients. The company caters to the B2B employer market with more than 100 corporate clients as of May 2021. In addition, the company also offers a D2C telehealth service in Poland where consultation fees are covered by the insurance of the publicly funded National Health Fund of Poland. 

Telemedico’s software can be integrated with an organization’s existing platform, or it can be used as a standalone product with access to a network of more than 600 doctors. As of February 2021, the company has recorded threefold YoY (year-on-year) growth in its business since 2018—a period over which it has performed 2.5 million consultations and served over 900,000 patients. In 2020 alone, one million consultations were recorded on the company’s platform. Also as of February 2021, Telemedico was servicing more than 100,000 consultations per month and projected the number to increase to 250,000 consultations per month by the end of 2021. 

As of February 2021, the company operated in 14 markets including Poland, Spain, Russia, Portugal, and Turkey, and had plans to expand into new markets across Europe such as France, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Romania. Founded in 2014, Telemedico claims that its platform is used by health ministries across the world and over 50 insurance and medical assistance companies including PZU, Allianz, AXA, Metrored, Compensa, and TU Zdrowie by February 2021. In February 2021, Telemedico raised USD 5.5 million in a Series A funding round which led to a lifetime funding total of USD 6.6 million for the company. The Series A will be directed towards geographical expansion—mainly in the EU and Latin America.
