Intu provides an infrastructure platform (software development kit [SDK]) for developers to build externally owned accounts (EOAs) to onboard users to their dApps. EOAs are Web3 accounts that are self-sovereign, decentralized, and recoverable. The accounts do not contain private keys to keep them secure, but use a set of dynamic keys dispersed across multiple devices or wallets of the account owner, which can be changed or revoked in the event of a compromise. Intu launched the beta version of its platform in February 2023.
Funding and financials
The company raised USD 2 million in pre-seed funding in February 2023, led by CoinFund, with participation from Metaweb Ventures, Fantom Foundation, and other angel investors. It had planned to use the fresh capital to develop its self-custodial crypto-wallet solution, which it provided through a SDK.
