Genpop Interactive

Genpop Interactive is an independent game development studio founded by Grammy-winning songwriter and producer BloodPop and former DeNA and BANDAI NAMCO executive Aubrey Tennant. The studio comprises more than 25 developers with experience in producing titles such as Cyberpunk and Halo Infinite. It builds AAA games aiming to create immersive and dynamic game worlds, with a focus on building a layered social world that changes based on feedback from the community.

Genpop's first project, which was under development as of March 2023, is a third-person shooter game with unique movement and combat mechanics. The studio aimed to create a cross-media experience with a new IP that would appeal to Gen-Z players by allowing them to customize the social aspects of their preferred game.

Funding and financials

In March 2023 , Genpop raised USD 6.5 million in seed funding led by Makers Fund. The fresh funds were to be used to develop Genpop’s first game.
