Looptworks

Based in Oregon, Looptworks recovers leftover premium quality materials from industries (textile and apparel) and upcycles them into value-added limited edition textile products such as bags, accessories, and apparel. The company’s products can be bought via its website or, in certain instances, bought back by the client to resell.

From 2014 to 2018, the company was the official supplier of Cascadia Soccer Team. Looptworks also signed with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 2016, to use old jerseys to produce items like bags and scarves. As of 2020, Fortune 500 companies such as Adidas, Nike, and Patagonia are among the clients who send their product waste to Looptworks and buy them back as upcycled limited edition products.

The company claims that its products are made for a lifetime; it gives a lifetime warranty, covering any defects and manufacturing failures in its products. Looptworks also offers a “reloopt marketplace” service, where consumers can send over the products purchased from Looptworks and resell them. The consumer will be paid once their product is sold.

The company also added masks to its list of products amidst the pandemic. However, the mask products can not be returned for resale.

In April 2019, Looptworks received a six-figure investment from Oregon Sports Angels.
