Vugo offers infotainment software for rideshare advertising on a business-to-business (B2B) software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis. Vugo also claims to be the first to develop in-car advertising for the ridesharing industry. Its products consist of in-car tablets, digital rooftop displays, exterior wraps, and its backend content management system (CMS) platform. The displays are powered by Vugo’s proprietary “TrpIntent” technology that uses data on trips to build relevant content for passengers and provide value to advertisers. Drivers can install the displays and earn 60% of Vugo’s ad revenue in addition to rideshare fares. As of February 2022, the company had operations in selected US locations but had plans to expand operations worldwide.
