Minimaliste is a Quebec, Canada-based company that specializes in building modern and fully-mobile tiny houses on wheels. Their designs prioritize autonomy and eco-friendliness, offering upgrade options such as solar units and water storage that allow their homes to be used as off-grid tiny houses. Minimaliste's factory-built homes minimize their carbon footprint while including basic utilities like internal structuring and an HVAC system. Their models can withstand temperatures between -30 and 30 degrees Celsius and are constructed with top-quality materials.
Minimaliste offers nine different tiny house designs, ranging in size from 165 sq.ft. to 330 sq.ft. and accommodating between two to eight people. Their smallest model, measuring 24' x 8.5', has one bedroom and can accommodate two to four people, while the largest design, measuring 38' x 10.5', features three bedrooms and can accommodate six to eight people. The acquisition process involves filling out a form on their website, after which the company builds a model tailored to the buyer's needs within five to eight weeks, and delivers it to their desired location anywhere in North America.
Minimaliste's tiny houses are designed with modern aesthetics and feature innovative elements like rooftop terraces, convertible dining tables, and loft spaces for additional room. Some of their notable models include the Ebene, a 475-square-foot house with a living room that can be converted into a dining room for six people and a pop-out space for a TV and electric fireplace; and the Sakura, a 380-square-foot gooseneck tiny house with a red cedar rooftop terrace accessible through a skylight. In August 2021, Minimaliste built the Ebene for a young couple in Ontario, incorporating features like shou sugi ban and natural cedar finishes, a king bedroom loft, and a bathroom with a shower/tub and space for a washer and dryer.
