German-based Replan.city provides a digital twin modeling platform specialized for shared mobility operators. The platform provides a tailor-made agent-based model, which is used to capture the mobility activities of each person and household in a particular location through the use of private proprietary data and public data, including geospatial, population, and traffic data. This is used to generate a calibrated multi-modal traffic simulation scenario, that takes particular factors into account, such as price sensitivity, the availability of different modes of transport, and transportation convenience, to provide forecasts and insights for mobility planning. Replan.city models have both strategic and operational use cases. On the strategic front, multi-model simulations can be used to get a holistic view of the transportation system to aid strategic planning and negotiations. For operational use, the tool also provides algorithms to optimize the operations in real time, such as identifying ideal spots for relocation and in-fleeting through demand predictions.
Replan.city claims that its platform has a 98% forecast accuracy, up to 50% cost reductions for hypothesis testing, and increases revenue per vehicle by 10%–15%.
