Bitt is a financial technology company that provides digital currency solutions to central banks, financial institutions, and ecosystem participants worldwide. It offers the Digital Currency Management System (DCMS), which provides secure infrastructure for monetary authorities to deploy central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and for financial institutions to integrate digital currencies into their financial service offerings.

The DCMS is the technology behind most live retail CBDC deployments globally. It is interoperable with transaction networks, legacy financial systems, compliance service providers, and existing payment service providers. Bitt specializes in developing, customizing, and integrating secure fintech solutions, including digital currency infrastructure and management applications.

In 2021, Bitt partnered with central banks and stakeholders to deploy the world's first CBDC pilot in a multinational currency union. It subsequently deployed the first live retail CBDC on the African continent and a stablecoin in Central America. The company continues to develop and roll out additional features for existing clients while expanding to new markets.

Bitt's team comprises over 80 globally dispersed professionals with expertise at the intersection of technology and policy. The company has proven CBDC deployment experience in Africa, North and Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe. In October 2022, Bitt and IDEMIA won the G20 TechSprint global CBDC competition for their offline CBDC payment solution.
