RTRO is a social media and community platform that aims to connect brands, creators, and their fans. RTRO sets itself apart by emphasizing robust content moderation features to ensure a bully-free and non-toxic environment.

The platform offers two distinct social experiences namely RTROCircles and RTRO TV. RTROCircles allows users to create groups and messages and videos. In the personal space, the experience remains uninterrupted by brand ads. RTRO TV offers an algorithm-free environment where brands and creators interact with their audience through chat-style interactions. Users have control over the content they see by browsing through various themed channels dedicated to topics such as travel, food, and beauty. RTROTV also offers a feature where creators can send content to their followers in a direct message (DM) format. Users have the ability to respond to public posts by liking them. Additionally, there is an option to chat with an "Ask AI" account, which utilizes ChatGPT technology, allowing users to engage in DM conversations.

Although RTRO has not disclosed its revenue model plans, the company intends to unveil this aspect of its strategy within the latter half of2023.

Key customers and partnerships

RTRO has attracted several beauty brands to its platform, including Loops, Joah, and Kiss Beauty. These brands have public RTRO accounts where they can connect with their followers and share content. Additionally, Alastin Skincare plans to utilize RTRO's private chat feature to engage with its skin-care professionals.

Kiss Beauty is also set to launch a private group-chat channel on the platform. Other beauty brands joining RTRO include Myvana Haircare and Halo 42, which was founded by Tim Quinn, a former celebrity makeup artist for Armani Beauty.

As of May 2023, RTRO featured around 50 influencers who have a total reach of over 5 million users on other social platforms.
