Accelleran

Accelleran is a provider of Open RAN-aligned private 5G network solutions. The company’s 5G network solutions can be tailored to an organization’s specific needs, with use cases in the logistics, construction, and automotive industries. Accelleran also provides a software platform, RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC), to optimize the performance of radio access networks (RAN). It enables dynamic resource management by deploying xApps (near-real-time applications) and rApps (non-real-time applications). The main functions of the platform include optimization, automation, and analytics. The platform also allows third-party developers to create applications that can run on RIC. 

Key customers and partnerships

1. In June 2022, Accellera joined two consortia projects funded by Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The first project, 5GECO, was a 24-month project focusing on reducing 5G deployment costs through infrastructure sharing and PON transport. It used Accelleran's dRAX RIC and xApps for network monitoring and AI algorithm data management. The second project, ValArch5G, focused on implementing high-reliability, low-latency 5G networks for industrial applications, including AGV control in factories and unmanned marine vessels.
2. In March 2022, Accelleran, in partnership with RED Technologies, a dynamic spectrum-sharing technology provider, successfully tested their spectrum access systems' interoperability, enabling 4G/5G devices to operate on the shared spectrum.
3. Accelleran also partnered with m3connect, a wireless service provider, to implement a private 5G network for autonomous logistics at BMW Group's Dingolfing plant.
