Voxel offers software that uses metamaterial mathematics and AI to generate engineering designs. The proprietary software solution can achieve performance increases on each design iteration, faster go-to-market with manufacturable designs available quickly, and cost savings. The company targets defense, automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial, and other demanding areas. 

Voxel offers features like 1) energy damping—ballistic protection that is lighter and energy efficient, 2) gas distribution—reduces sound and heat while increasing durability, and 3) thermal management—heat exchangers that are lighter than traditionally manufactured parts.

Funding and financials

In May 2023, Voxel raised USD 1.7 million in a seed funding round led by CincyTech to expand business operations and business reach. The company also planned to open a new headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
