Grape is a layer-1 blockchain that is purpose-built for gaming and metaverse applications. It is powered by a directed acyclic graph (DAG)-based distributed ledger technology named Vine, which serves as a mathematical basis for asynchronously generating entries in a decentralized ledger. Grape is also developing an AI neural network engine called ANNE, which will enable developers to create complex smart contracts and build dApps within minutes using simple prompts. Moreover, the unique architecture of Grape enables the network to grow seamlessly with each new node connected to it, wherein each additional node contributes 1,000 transactions per second (TPS) to the processing power of the network. Consequently, it claims to have a maximum theoretical speed of 700,000 TPS.
In May 2023, the company launched the Grape testnet, and it had scheduled to release its decentralized cloud storage platform in Q3 2023, followed by the mainnet and ANNE launch in Q4 2023.
