Cavco Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: CVCO) is one of the largest producers of manufactured and modular homes in the US, based on reported wholesale shipments. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Cavco designs and produces factory-built housing products primarily distributed through a network of independent and Company-owned retailers.
Cavco's products are marketed under a variety of brand names including Cavco, Fleetwood, Palm Harbor, Nationwide, Fairmont, Friendship, Chariot Eagle, Destiny, Commodore, Colony, Pennwest, R-Anell, Manorwood, MidCountry and Solitaire. The company operates 31 homebuilding production lines located throughout the US and Mexico. It distributes homes through a large network of independent distribution points in 48 states and Canada as well as 79 Company-owned US retail stores, 47 of which are located in Texas. In fiscal year 2023, Cavco delivered 19,376 factory-built homes.
Cavco's finance subsidiary, CountryPlace Mortgage, is an approved Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac seller/servicer and a Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed securities issuer that offers conforming mortgages, non-conforming mortgages and home-only loans to purchasers of factory-built homes. The company's insurance subsidiary, Standard Casualty, provides property and casualty insurance to owners of manufactured homes. In December 2023, Cavco announced the launch of its new Anthem series, the first nationally available HUD-approved manufactured duplex, as an innovative solution to improve housing affordability.
