Clarius Mobile Health is a Vancouver-based medical technology company that develops and manufactures high-performance handheld wireless ultrasound scanners. Founded by experienced innovators in the ultrasound industry, Clarius aims to make accurate, easy-to-use, and affordable ultrasound tools available to medical professionals across all specialties. The company's product line consists of pocket-sized scanners that wirelessly connect to iOS and Android devices through an AI-powered application. Clarius scanners utilize octal beamforming technology, delivering up to eight times faster frame rates and micron-level resolution compared to other handheld devices. As of July 2023, over 20,000 clinicians had used Clarius scanners, performing more than 3.8 million scans. The company offers ten AI-powered models of handheld ultrasound scanners designed for various medical specialties, including orthopedic surgeons, aesthetic clinicians, emergency physicians, and veterinarians. In January 2022, Clarius introduced its third-generation product line, which was 30% lighter and smaller than previous models. The scanners are built with the latest antenna technology for reliable connectivity and are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Clarius employs over 150 people at its headquarters, innovation center, and manufacturing facility in Vancouver, British Columbia.
