Permutive is a UK-based customer data platform (CDP) that enables publishers to manage and optimize their consumer data while preserving data privacy. Permutive’s platform uses edge processing, where processing and anonymizing customer data take place on the device. Permutive’s platform began as a data management platform (DMP); media publishers could securely collect and analyze first-party data while preserving individual data privacy. In July 2021, Permutive transitioned from a DMP to a CDP where publishers were able to match advertisers with relevant customer segments. Through the platform, advertisers can gain access to all addressable customers on the open web, across several channels including web, mobile, and connected TV.
According to the firm, its users have reported a 135% increase in monthly ad revenue on average and a 4x increase in audience identification.
