New York-based Sharebite is an exclusive food delivery company for workplaces with operations in Chicago, the Bay Area (San Francisco/Oakland), Austin, Charlotte, Irvine, and Washington, DC.

As of 2022, the platform has a network of more than 4,000 restaurant partners across the US with a focus on corporate clients. The company has partnered with notable clients including investment banks, law firms, asset management companies, and professional service firms such as Credit Suisse, Neuberger Berman, Cravath, and Sullivan & Cromwell. Every order placed on Sharebite is matched by a donation toward relieving child hunger in local communities. 

In November 2020, the company launched “Sharebite Stations'', a post-pandemic lunch solution that provides a contactless ordering experience and reduces waste, as opposed to buffet options. Orders are placed using Sharebite’s app and curated from local restaurants including Chopt, Dig, Naya, Dos Toros, and Veggie Grill. Demand for Sharebite Stations has risen sharply, with companies like WeWork, Coinbase, Better.com, McKinsey, Horizon Media, and Vornado among the more than 100 companies nationwide in the pipeline for deployment. The company states that despite the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sharebite’s focus on companies with employees returning helped the company grow its contracts by 400% in 2020. 

In June 2022, the company raised USD 39 million in a Series B funding round. The latest infusion brings the total amount of funding raised by the company to USD 56 million. The funding round was led by Prosus with participation from Fiserv, Contour Venture Partners, Reign Ventures, London Technology Club, and Not Boring Fund. The funds will be allocated toward expanding the company’s market share, launching new products, and developing AI-powered tools to improve the meal ordering experience.
