OJO Labs offers a platform providing real estate agents and homebuyers with tools and expertise for the different phases of the home buying and selling process. The platform uses machine learning algorithms to improve property searches and charges up to 35% in referral fees on the value of closed transactions.
OJO Labs purchased real estate data provider and Internet Data Exchange (IDX) property search platform Wolfnet Technologies in October 2018. Through this acquisition, OJO Labs would be able to improve its platform’s machine learning capabilities with timely and quality data feeds from Wolfnet’s database. Its second acquisition followed a year later when the company took possession of real estate home search platform RealSavvy in October 2019. The move sought to expand OJO Labs’ product offering by integrating RealSavvy’s unique and collaborative home search feature into its platform.
It acquired Movoto, a residential real estate search site, with funding support from a USD 62.5 million round led by Wafra. Movoto, a growing site with nearly 24 million monthly visits, will be integrated with OJO's AI platform to connect online property searches with real estate agents, aiming to enhance the home buying process.
In February 2023, Royal Bank of Canada acquired OJO Canada, the company's Canadian operations, to integrate it into its services and enhance and streamline the home-buying experience for its customers.
In March 2024, the company acquired The LEAD Syndicate, a platform offering leverage solutions for real estate professionals, as part of its strategy to enhance agent support and launch Lever by Movoto, a platform providing tools for marketing, lead generation, and transaction management. This move aimed to streamline OJO's offerings, allowing real estate agents to focus more on client relationships.
