?

Based in Pennsylvania, EnviroKure uses a patented composting technology that involves extracting nutrients and microbes from chicken manure to produce liquid fertilizers and biostimulants for home, agricultural, and garden use. The company offers two types of liquid fertilizer products, “Plant Builder” and “Super K,”  which differ based on their NPK profiles.

The company uses 20+ species of plant beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi that it claims improves yields, soil health, and stress tolerance while also enriching the soil with nutrients. Based on trials conducted on fescue blend grass and blueberries, using its fertilizer increased crop growth by 26% and increased fruiting by 12%, respectively. It also claims to be the first fully liquid organic fertilizer in the market that allows precise application and usage. The fertilizers can be applied to crops such as hemp, fruit and vegetable crops, corn, soybean, and wheat, are also certified organic from the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), and meet the requirements of the National Organic Program for organic production.

As of May 2022, EnviroKure’s Fertilizer was sold to farmers in 42 states across the US. The company also reported that in 2020, it sold fertilizer directly to farmers controlling 130,000 acres of farmland across states in the Midwest, and also had distributors selling to customers covering 1 million acres of farmland.

EnviroKure operates two manufacturing plants in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Harrington, Delaware, and, in 2021, it reported that it was building another 40,000 sq ft facility in Hicksville, Ohio which was expected to be operational by 2Q 2022 (no recent updates). The Harrington facility can process upto 22,500 tons of waste per year, and can produce 19,000 gallons of fertilizer per day (6x higher than the Philadelphia facility). Upon completion of the Hicksville facility, EnviroKure will have the capacity to produce fertilizer for 4 million acres of farmland.

In December 2020, the company raised USD 2 million in a venture round of funding (investors undisclosed).
