Responsiv is a legal technology startup based in Chicago that provides an AI assistant tailored specifically for in-house legal teams. Launched in 2023 by Nikita Solilov and Jordan Domash, former executives at legal tech company Relativity, Responsiv aims to empower attorneys with AI capabilities to streamline legal research and save time.

The platform allows in-house lawyers to pose queries in natural language and receive trusted answers backed by verifiable references from a comprehensive database comprising over 10 million court opinions, state statutes, regulations, regulatory guidance, and legal analysis. Responsiv aggregates this information and generates detailed responses enriched with inline citations, enabling attorneys to easily review the referenced sources.

Beyond conducting legal research, Responsiv can also generate clauses, templates, or policies aligned with the query output, further expediting the attorney's workflow. With Responsiv, tasks that traditionally required several hours of manual research can be completed in as little as 90 seconds. For larger projects like multi-state surveys, Responsiv offers substantial cost and time savings.

Responsiv differentiates itself from generalized AI models like ChatGPT by focusing on delivering verifiable and trustworthy legal information, a critical requirement in the legal field. In November 2023, the startup raised USD 3 million in seed funding led by Greylock, with participation from other investors including the family office of Relativity founder Andrew Sieja.
