Getaway

Getaway is a company that provides overnight (one to two nights) accommodations in small cabins (for two to four people) called “Outposts,” located in natural settings. These cabins offer city dwellers a chance to escape from their daily stress and disconnect from technology and encourage this by providing a cell phone lock box. Each cabin is 140–200 sq ft in size and spaced 50–150 ft apart, and includes a signature window that provides a view of nature. Getaway has Outposts in locations around the US, including Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, Portland (OR), and Washington.

Key customers and partnerships

In August 2022, Getaway and Walmart teamed up to launch the first "General Store by Walmart" in select Getaway Outposts. The store offered a range of items including hiking gear, recreational equipment, and campfire supplies. This partnership seeks to provide customers with convenient access to these items while enjoying their Getaway experience.
