Cronometer is a nutrition-tracking app that helps users develop healthier habits and gain better insights into their overall health and nutrition. The app allows users to track up to 82 different micronutrients, log meals, set fasting timers, and access a comprehensive database of foods with accurate nutrition data.

Cronometer provides users with a detailed nutritional breakdown, including information on vitamins, minerals, amino acids, calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates, and fiber. The app automatically calculates net carbs, making it useful for those following a keto diet. It also offers features like barcode scanning for easy food entry and the ability to create custom recipes.

One of Cronometer's key advantages is its reliance on verified, lab-analyzed food sources from reputable global databases like the Nutrition Coordinating Center Food & Nutrient Database (NCCDB), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and The Dutch Food Composition Database (NEVO).

In addition to tracking nutrition, Cronometer allows users to log their exercise and sync with compatible fitness trackers to monitor their overall activity levels. Users can also track various biometrics such as weight, body fat, blood pressure, and cholesterol. The app also has a strong social media presence and active forums where users can ask questions and engage with the community.

Cronometer offers a free version and a premium Gold subscription, with the latter providing features like fasting tracking, custom reports, and charts. Additionally, the company offers Cronometer Pro, a subscription for health and fitness professionals, hospitals, schools, and research teams. As of July 2024, the company charged users USD 69.99 annually for its Gold membership and Cronometer Pro users USD 39.99 per month.

Key customers and partnerships

In June 2023, Cronometer partnered with celebrity trainer Don Saladino to offer all users access to three curated fitness programs focused on bodyweight exercises. The app also launched a fitness challenge for July 2023, encouraging users to log their exercise activities for a chance to win prizes.
