The platform can be integrated with electronic health records and other healthcare systems. It is designed to be user-friendly, particularly for elderly populations. In August 2023, OpenTeleHealth was acquired by Doccla, a UK-based virtual ward provider, in a move that expanded Doccla's global presence. The acquisition brought together OpenTeleHealth's technology with Doccla's virtual hospital services.

Key customers and partnerships

OpenTeleHealth has worked with healthcare providers and organizations in multiple countries. In Denmark, the company collaborated with the North Jutland region to implement a telehealth program for COPD patients starting in 2011. The company has also worked with Doccla in the UK to provide virtual ward services in collaboration with the National Health Service (NHS). Additionally, OpenTeleHealth's platform has been utilized by Biorithm for advanced pregnancy care monitoring and by Cardiolyse for heart attack prediction and ECG analysis.
