Israel-based impacX (formerly Water.io) provides a comprehensive smart packaging platform focused on connecting brands with their customers through innovative packaging solutions. The company has two main products:

Water.io, a flagship product from impacX, introduces a smart solution for reusable water bottles. Vitamins.io includes a Bluetooth-connected Smart Bottle that monitors opening and closing and reminds users to take their next supplement dose through flashing and melodic alerts. The accompanying mobile app complements the experience by coaching customers, facilitating automatic replenishment, and providing a news feed of relevant content. The branded interface allows companies to gain insights into customer characteristics, supplement regimens, and purchasing behavior.

The platform claims to improve customer retention by 34% for supplements.

Key customers and partnerships

As of February 2024, its customers include Sanofi, Bayer, Visy, Danone, Eden Springs, and Nolato.

In March 2017, the company partnered with Visy, a recycling firm, to bring smart packaging solutions to the food and beverage industry in Australia and New Zealand.
