In February 2024 , Pacifico Biolabs raised USD 3.3 million in pre-seed funding co-led by Simon Capital and FoodLabs, with participation from Exceptional Ventures and Sprout & About Ventures. The funds were earmarked for scaling its biomass fermentation process, expanding the team with key hires, and introducing its initial products to the European market, pending regulatory approval.
