Carbon AI is designed to be model-agnostic, scaling alongside the user's application. Carbon's technology leverages semantic embeddings and fuzzy string matching to facilitate reportedly accurate and efficient data retrieval and processing for LLMs.  

The platform provides features such as SOC 2 Type II compliance for security and privacy, white-labeling options to match branding and user experience, and custom builds upon request. Carbon AI also offers usage reporting and document management capabilities.

As of October 2024, its notable customers included Athena, Lindy, Activeloop, Sendbird, and Inventive. In October 2024, Carbon AI partnered with Fiùtur to integrate CarbonAi's carbon monitoring and data aggregation platform with Fiùtur's standardized data reporting. In August 2023, Carbon AI partnered with Lukla to digitize and automate GHG emission reduction data management.
