Based in France, Prodways develops 3D printers, materials, and related software targeting a range of industries including aerospace and health. The company also offers on-demand manufacturing, developing podiatry, dentistry parts, and earmolds that are sold directly to healthcare professionals. Prodways makes around 50 types of materials including liquid resins, polymer powders, and ceramic powders, which are sold with Prodways 3D printers or separately.
The company uses Movinglight technology, a combination of a LED light bulb and a microchip that offers high precision and throughput while being able to handle high viscosity materials.
Prodways has made several acquisitions including German plastic 3D printing service provider Creabis (2021), an aerospace and aviation company and a subsidiary of Stratasys Solidscape (2018), hearing aids manufacturer Interson-Protac (2017), manufacturing consulting company AvenAo Industrie (2017), and developer of polymer powders EXELTEC (2015) to expand its offerings.
