Based in Israel, Sensos, which was spun off from Sony Semiconductor Israel in 2022, specializes in supply chain management. The company offers a SaaS-based control tower named "Sync" that integrates with the Sensos disposable cellular label. This solution provides businesses with a unified, real-time view of any shipment or inventory through an intuitive interface.
Sensos' key product differentiator lies in its ability to leverage disposable labels that communicate via cellular networks. These labels are designed to report telemetry shipment data such as location, temperature, humidity, light exposure, and shock events in real time, enhancing visibility and control over the supply chain processes.
Key customers and partnerships
Sensos has demonstrated its utility across various sectors, including agriculture, medical devices, pharmaceutical, automotive, and logistics. The company's original prototype was successfully put into use by Bayer, in collaboration with Kigen and Vodafone, and has since been acquired by DB Schenker, among others.
In May 2024, the company partnered with Pairpoint, a Vodafone-owned innovator in the Economy of Things (EoT), to offer a secure platform for companies to track their products throughout the supply chain. The collaboration will result in the use of Sensos' tracking labels and AI-based control center with Pairpoint's secure digital platform to detect anomalies and record product movement.
Funding and financials
In February 2024, the company secured USD 20 million in Series A funding led by Mitsui-backed Magenta Venture Partners, with participation from JAL Ventures, Israel Cargo Logistics, and Sumitomo Corporation. The funds were intended to further Sensos' mission of digitizing supply chains by enhancing its product offerings and expanding its market reach.
