The company's applied GenAI technology allows these businesses to retain full control over their data and content assets while automating conversations, sharing content, and responding to direct queries from customers.

Firsthand's platform comprises two key solutions; Lakebed and generative marketing agents. Lakebed is an AI rights and data management layer that provides content owners with full ownership of their knowledge assets and control over where, when, and by whom their content is utilized. The generative marketing agents leverage approved content to facilitate contextualized 1:1 conversations with consumers.

As of May 2024 the company was conducting a pilot program with select brands and publishers.
