Weturn is a French startup that develops a textile recycling solution and marketplace for textiles. The company transforms unsold products, fabric rolls, and offcuts from major fashion houses into new high-quality yarns and fabrics through its destocking and valorization platform, “Valo,” and its sales platform for recycled textiles, “MTR.”
Companies using the Valo platform can choose whether they want to donate, reuse, upcycle, or recycle their excess textile stock. Weturn works with its logistics partner to collect and sort the excess stock and dismantle and unlabel any finished garments prior to storage. MTR provides clients with fabrics tailored to their needs in addition to operating a library for yarns and fabrics.
The company claims it can valorize 100% of the materials it receives, diverting them from incineration while reducing the environmental impact of its collections by up to 80% compared to conventional textiles.
