Hill's Pet Nutrition is a global leader in science-led pet nutrition, specializing in developing and manufacturing premium pet food products. Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, Hill's operates in 86 countries worldwide, offering a range of scientifically formulated pet foods designed to meet the nutritional needs of cats and dogs at various life stages and with specific health conditions.

Hill's product lines include:

  • Science Diet: Everyday nutrition formulated for pets at different life stages

  • Prescription Diet: Therapeutic nutrition requiring a veterinarian's prescription to address specific health conditions

  • Healthy Advantage: Veterinarian-exclusive line targeting multiple health factors

  • Ideal Balance: Made with natural ingredients

Hill's also produces over 170 varieties of wet pet food. The company's research and development efforts are centered at its 170-acre Pet Nutrition Center in Topeka, Kansas, which includes the Small Paws Innovation Center opened in 2021.

In 2023, Hill's opened a new 365,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Tonganoxie, Kansas. This USD 325 million "smart" plant features advanced automation and artificial intelligence technologies to enhance food safety and production efficiency. The facility doubles Hill's wet pet food production capacity and enables greater product innovation. Hill's maintains additional manufacturing sites in Topeka and Emporia, Kansas. In January 2023, the company announced the relocation of its global and US headquarters from Topeka to Overland Park, Kansas, to support its continued growth while maintaining its science and manufacturing hubs in Topeka.
