Taxfyle is a marketplace that connects freelance CPAs and IRS Enrolled Agents with consumers and businesses in need of tax filing preparation and business incorporation services. Taxfyle’s APIs also allow its partners, such as FinTech companies and payment processors, to directly add tax preparation services to their existing offering.  

In July 2024 Taxfyle integrated GenAI features to its platform, which claim to reduce the cost of basic 1040 tax preparation by 40%. The AI tools streamline document gathering and analysis and claim to cut job scoping time from weeks to minutes while reducing errors. Previously, in November 2023, Taxfyle introduced two new verticals, Taxfyle Bookkeeping and Taxfyle Consultations, expanding its suite of services for small businesses and taxpayers

The company generates revenue on a per-package basis, with its tax service packages ranging from USD 175 to 900. Further, Taxfyle claims an average job completion time of 48 hours.

Key customers and partnerships

As of October 2024, the platform had over 7,200 licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professionals operating in the US. The company served over 200 CPA firms and over 100,000 individuals as of October 2024.

In October 2024, the company partnered with Column Tax designed to provide an all-in-one tax and accounting experience directly within company platforms.
