Po-Zu is a UK-based footwear brand that uses sustainable materials such as Piñatex (pineapple leaf fiber), Frumat (apple leather), cactus leather, sugarcane, and cork in its footwear. The company’s “POZ” sneaker was launched in December 2020 and consists of a cactus-based upper material, a sole from EVA resin derived from sugarcane, laces from organic cotton, and a mid-sole of natural latex and cork.
The company—that initially produced footwear from both conventional leather and vegan materials—transformed into a 100% vegan footwear producer in 2021. Po-Zu has also partnered with brands such as Timberland (in 2011), Maharishi (in 2008), and Amazon Life (in 2009) to produce sustainable footwear.
