As of November 2023, Vapi's infrastructure could handle thousands of simultaneous calls, with latency ranging from 1.2 to two seconds. The company aimed to reduce this to under one second, bringing it closer to natural conversation speeds. Its technology is designed to work across various platforms, including phone systems, websites, and mobile apps.

In December 2024, the company disclosed that it generated “millions of dollars” of revenue within its first six months.
